What it is
From here, Mumbai's main attractions — including central Mahim — are an easy walk or short ride away, so you spend less time in transit and more time exploring.
Where it sits
Apartment In Mumbai City Centre is in Mahim, at Bldg No 1 Flat No 11 Vivekanand Society, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 7 km from Terminal 2, 10 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 5 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 24 minutes to the airport, 36 minutes to Fort and 17 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Mahim
The usable stock is on Lady Jamshedji Road and the lanes off Mori Road, both on the west side, five to ten minutes' walk from Mahim Junction. Expect ₹2,800 to ₹4,500 for a clean AC double with breakfast; ₹6,000 buys you the top of the market here and that is a business hotel near the Hinduja Hospital end of Veer Savarkar Marg, which is also the most useful address if you have early Coastal Road runs into town. Avoid anything advertised as being on the causeway itself — the traffic noise on Mahim Causeway runs from 5am to well past midnight and the buildings are old enough that the windows do nothing. Avoid the strip immediately behind Mahim station on the east side too; it is close to the Dharavi edge, perfectly safe by day, but poorly lit and confusing after dark. Ask for an upper floor facing away from Senapati Bapat Marg.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Mahim page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for Apartment In Mumbai City Centre at the moment. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.
