What it is
Guests typically choose Chembur for its balance of location and price; The Fern Residency Mumbai is a good fit if you want to be near the action in Mumbai.
Because pricing is set live by the hotel and its suppliers, the figure shown here is a recent snapshot; check the current rate for your exact dates before booking.
Where it sits
The Fern Residency Mumbai is in Chembur, at 411 B Hemu Kalani Marg, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 5 km from Terminal 2, 14 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 3 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 18 minutes to the airport, 49 minutes to Fort and 10 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Chembur
Cluster your search along RC Marg, Chembur Naka and the Eastern Express Highway service road, where mid-range business hotels run ₹2,800–₹6,000 a night with breakfast and parking — the same standard costs ₹12,000 in Worli. Serviced apartments around Diamond Garden and Sindhi Society go for ₹45,000–₹80,000 a month and suit long postings on the eastern corridor. The best rooms are the ones facing the golf club or the garden rather than the highway; ask directly, because listings do not distinguish. Avoid the very cheap lodges immediately outside Chembur station on the Harbour line side, where rooms are ₹1,200 but the lanes are unlit and the train noise starts at 4.30am. Also avoid anything advertised as Chembur that is really in Mankhurd or Govandi; the connectivity story does not hold there.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Chembur page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for The Fern Residency Mumbai at the moment. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

As someone visiting Mumbai for a short work trip, I stayed at The Fern Residency in Chembur and found it to be a solid, well-rounded option for business and casual travelers alike. It’s tucked away in a quieter part of the city, which is a relief considering Mumbai’s usual chaos, but still well-connected to most…Abhishek Nagar · 4/5
Nice and cozy hotel just the opposite of the main gate of The Acres Club. I actually liked this hotel very much, considering the value it proposes with good large, clean rooms with all amenities, good food and liquor at its resturant, good housekeeping and F & B. What else you require from a budget hotel like this…Rajdeep Saha · 5/5
