The Aroma Backpackers is in Chembur, at 78A Deonar Village Rd, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 7 km from Terminal 2, 15 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 6 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 25 minutes to the airport, 53 minutes to Fort and 19 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. Staying in Chembur

Cluster your search along RC Marg, Chembur Naka and the Eastern Express Highway service road, where mid-range business hotels run ₹2,800–₹6,000 a night with breakfast and parking — the same standard costs ₹12,000 in Worli. Serviced apartments around Diamond Garden and Sindhi Society go for ₹45,000–₹80,000 a month and suit long postings on the eastern corridor. The best rooms are the ones facing the golf club or the garden rather than the highway; ask directly, because listings do not distinguish. Avoid the very cheap lodges immediately outside Chembur station on the Harbour line side, where rooms are ₹1,200 but the lanes are unlit and the train noise starts at 4.30am. Also avoid anything advertised as Chembur that is really in Mankhurd or Govandi; the connectivity story does not hold there.
