The best rooms are the ones facing the golf club or the garden rather than the highway; ask directly, because listings do not distinguish. Avoid the very cheap lodges immediately outside Chembur station on the Harbour line side, where rooms are ₹1,200 but the lanes are unlit and the train noise starts at 4.30am. Also avoid anything advertised as Chembur that is really in Mankhurd or Govandi; the connectivity story does not hold there.
