For couples and small groups, the Lonavala–Khandala road and the Rajmachi Point side have quieter boutique places and villas at ₹5,000 to ₹12,000. Budget hotels cluster within 500 m of Lonavala station at ₹2,000 to ₹3,500, walkable to trains and chikki shops, but the road noise from the old highway is real. Avoid rooms directly on the old Mumbai–Pune highway strip unless you sleep through trucks. Avoid weekend rates full stop where you can — Friday-to-Sunday pricing in monsoon runs 60 to 80 per cent above midweek. And confirm whether your resort's advertised lake view is Tungarli, Lonavala Lake or a distant reservoir; the wording is loose.
