What it is
The surrounding Girgaon district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.
Because pricing is set live by the hotel and its suppliers, the figure shown here is a recent snapshot; check the current rate for your exact dates before booking.
Where it sits
Hotel Rinza Residency is in Girgaon, at M S Ali Road, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 15 km from Terminal 2, 3 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 13 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 53 minutes to the airport, 11 minutes to Fort and 45 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Girgaon
Look at the streets between Charni Road station and Girgaon Chowpatty — Sandhurst Road, Jagannath Shankarsheth Marg, the blocks off Prarthana Samaj — where small business hotels and family-run lodges run ₹3,000 to ₹6,500 a night and a sea-view room at the Chowpatty end can be had for ₹7,000 to ₹9,000. Serviced apartments around Opera House are the smart long-stay option at roughly ₹65,000 to ₹1,10,000 a month. Standards are patchy: insist on seeing the room, check the water pressure and whether the air conditioning is a window unit, and confirm the lift exists. Avoid ground-floor rooms on the main roads, where traffic starts at 6am and Ganpati loudspeakers can run past midnight in season. Avoid the very cheapest lodges near the station touting hourly rates. Book anything for September and for Diwali week at least a month ahead.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Girgaon page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for Hotel Rinza Residency at the moment; hotels in Girgaon on our list start at about ₹6,800 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.
