Ballard Estate is the quietest and most handsome pocket, wide streets, low traffic, hotels around ₹8,000 to ₹14,000, and a two-minute walk to shipping and freight offices. Avoid rooms facing D N Road above the second floor without double glazing, and avoid the immediate CSMT and Crawford Market fringe, where the noise, hawking and pavement traffic run past midnight. While booking, the hotel looked good, also when you enter the hotel it looks very fancy, but when you enter the rooms that is when you see the real picture.
