What it is
The surrounding Churchgate district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.
Where it sits
Trident Nariman Point Mumbai is in Churchgate, at Nariman Point, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 19 km from Terminal 2, 2 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 16 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 66 minutes to the airport, 7 minutes to Fort and 57 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Churchgate
Veer Nariman Road is the address to want: heritage-era hotels with high ceilings, walkable to the station, the Maidan and Nariman Point, generally ₹9,000 to ₹16,000 a night. The lanes behind it — Jamshedji Tata Road, Maharshi Karve Road, the blocks near Cross Maidan — hold smaller business hotels and serviced apartments at ₹5,500 to ₹10,000, and the apartments are the smart choice for a stay over five nights because you get a kitchen and laundry rather than a minibar. Rooms facing the Oval are worth a premium of around ₹1,500 for the view of the clock tower. Avoid ground and first-floor rooms on Maharshi Karve Road, where the traffic and station crowd noise start at 6am, and avoid anything advertised as being near Churchgate that turns out to be past Cross Maidan and effectively in Marine Lines. December to February books out; reserve six weeks ahead.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Churchgate page.
What it costs
The most recent snapshot we hold for Trident Nariman Point Mumbai starts at about ₹14,300 a night, against a median of about ₹14,700 for the Churchgate hotels on our list. That is a snapshot, not a quote: Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and the same room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.
