What it is

The surrounding Borivali district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.

Rates shift with the season and with demand, so the live price on the booking page is always the one to trust — tap through for tonight's or your dates' real availability.

Where it sits

Tourist Resort is in Borivali, at Uttan Road, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 20 km from Terminal 2, 35 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 22 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 69 minutes to the airport, 123 minutes to Fort and 78 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

What is included

The property lists 7 facilities. The ones that decide a booking are grouped below; anything unusual — early check-in, a late departure, a desk that takes a laptop — is worth confirming when you book, because listings and reality drift.

Staying in Borivali

The practical band is around Borivali station east and the Western Express Highway service road, where business hotels run ₹2,500–₹6,000 including breakfast and parking, and you are 10 minutes from both metro lines and the park gate. On the west side, IC Colony and Eksar offer quieter guesthouses and serviced flats at ₹3,000–₹6,500 with genuine neighbourhood atmosphere but a longer walk to the station. Long-stay apartments in Borivali West and Kandivali rent at ₹30,000–₹60,000 a month. Avoid rooms directly over the station approach road, where hawker noise starts at 5am and the auto-rickshaw stand never stops, and avoid the very cheap lodges in the lanes immediately east of the tracks — ₹1,200 buys a windowless box. Ask whether the hotel is within walking distance of a metro station; several claim it and are 2 km away.

More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Borivali page.

What it costs

We do not hold a live rate for Tourist Resort at the moment; hotels in Borivali on our list start at about ₹5,600 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

Firstly, I will say don’t go for the reviews which mentions swimming pool and has rated negatively because this place doesn’t have any swimming pool and they have added the review in the wrong resort. I visited first time at this place and I was impressed, especially if you appreciate a calm and peaceful stay, making…
