What it is
From here, Mumbai's main attractions — including Mandapeshwar Caves, Borivali — are an easy walk or short ride away, so you spend less time in transit and more time exploring.
Where it sits
Residency Sarovar Portico Mumbai is in Borivali, at Opposite Techniplex Complex, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 10 km from Terminal 2, 26 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 12 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 34 minutes to the airport, 92 minutes to Fort and 43 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Borivali
The practical band is around Borivali station east and the Western Express Highway service road, where business hotels run ₹2,500–₹6,000 including breakfast and parking, and you are 10 minutes from both metro lines and the park gate. On the west side, IC Colony and Eksar offer quieter guesthouses and serviced flats at ₹3,000–₹6,500 with genuine neighbourhood atmosphere but a longer walk to the station. Long-stay apartments in Borivali West and Kandivali rent at ₹30,000–₹60,000 a month. Avoid rooms directly over the station approach road, where hawker noise starts at 5am and the auto-rickshaw stand never stops, and avoid the very cheap lodges in the lanes immediately east of the tracks — ₹1,200 buys a windowless box. Ask whether the hotel is within walking distance of a metro station; several claim it and are 2 km away.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Borivali page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for Residency Sarovar Portico Mumbai at the moment; hotels in Borivali on our list start at about ₹5,600 a night. November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

A clean functional stay; with nice breakfast. Clean rooms, and a small yet well equipped fitness centre, and good food. If you are staying in this part of the city for work, Sarovar is a great option, especially for solo travellers. The room I got was small though, and somewhat claustrophobic. There is a higher…Piyush Dewan · 4/5
This is a basic B&B style hotel, suitable primarily for a place to sleep. The location was average. While the rooms were quite small, they were clean, and the hotel offers basic facilities. The staff were a definite highlight – very good and supportive. Overall, this hotel is a decent option for a short business trip…Manthan Shah · 4/5
