The Paradise by Tunga is a practical 3-star stay in Andheri East, Mumbai — good value for exploring the area and its landmarks like Mahakali Caves, Andheri.
About Andheri East: Mumbai's working engine room: both terminals, SEEPZ and MIDC offices, three metro lines, and more hotel rooms than anywhere else in the city. All hotels in Andheri East →
What it is
The surrounding Andheri East district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.
Where it sits
The Paradise by Tunga is in Andheri East, at P 16 Midc Central Road Andheri, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 4 km from Terminal 2, 20 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 6 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 12 minutes to the airport, 72 minutes to Fort and 22 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Andheri East
Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.

What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for The Paradise by Tunga at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.
