What it is
Guests typically choose Andheri East for its balance of location and price; The Empresa Hotel is a good fit if you want to be near the action in Mumbai.
Where it sits
The Empresa Hotel is in Andheri East, at Oberoi Complex Off New Link Road Andheri, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 6 km from Terminal 2, 22 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 9 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 23 minutes to the airport, 77 minutes to Fort and 31 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Andheri East
Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for The Empresa Hotel at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

The Empressa Hotel is the type of property where owners take pains to make it look great, provide facilities and try and make it stand out. Forgetting that an experience is had not just with the facilities but also with the way the staff behaves with guests. On this count itself I will rate it Zero. I had a foreign…Arpan Dixit · 1/5
I stayed at The Empresa Hotel from December 2024 to February 2025, during a work visit in Versova, and had an excellent experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a great bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The location was ideal and close to many restaurants.…Spyros Ntonovits · 5/5
Recently stayed at Empressa Hotel and heres my take. The room was clean and had all the essentials. The food was surprisingly good and affordable. A big plus for travelers on a budget! The WiFi was SLOW and UNRELIABLE, which was frustrating. What's worse, it was chargeable! If you're looking for a no-frills,…Harry · 3/5
