What it is

The surrounding Andheri East district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.

Rates shift with the season and with demand, so the live price on the booking page is always the one to trust — tap through for tonight's or your dates' real availability.

Where it sits

Hotel Royal Elite is in Andheri East, at Cama Industrial Estate Goregaon, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 8 km from Terminal 2, 24 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 10 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 28 minutes to the airport, 86 minutes to Fort and 37 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

What is included

The property lists 30 facilities. The ones that decide a booking are grouped below; anything unusual — early check-in, a late departure, a desk that takes a laptop — is worth confirming when you book, because listings and reality drift.

Staying in Andheri East

Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.

More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.

What it costs

We do not hold a live rate for Hotel Royal Elite at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

He asked me to wait for 5 mints but it actually ended to 40 mints just bcoz he is the known of the owner.. This is how they treat the customer and do partial stuff with the known customer and the other customer.. Else if they ask u to wait for 5-10 mint assume it to be 40-50 mint.

The location is pathetic, seems between a slum area. Rooms are stinky same as their blankets, sheets and pillows. This hotels has more customers who take the rooms on hourly basis (couples). AC is very slow, no hot water and bathroom sinks are blocked and overflow when bathing. The rooms are no where as shown in the…

I have not stayed here but wanted some feedback. Is locality good? Does police harasses couples, is it safe for unmarried couples?
