What it is
From here, Mumbai's main attractions — including Mahakali Caves, Andheri — are an easy walk or short ride away, so you spend less time in transit and more time exploring.
Where it sits
Hotel Olten is in Andheri East, at Safal Sanjana Building Sn Marg Sahar Rd, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 4 km from Terminal 2, 20 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 6 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 13 minutes to the airport, 70 minutes to Fort and 22 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Andheri East
Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.
What it costs
We do not hold a live rate for Hotel Olten at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.
November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

This is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained hotels, offering excellent amenities and a prime location. I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff were respectful and courteous. If you're seeking a comfortable and pleasant experience, this is a great choice over high-priced alternatives.Ankit Mehta · 5/5
I had a terrible experience with Alton Hotel. I booked and paid in full through Agoda. When I arrived, they made me wait for over 2 hours, saying the room was being cleaned. During all that time, they didn’t bother to take my ID or do the check-in formalities. Only after wasting so much time, they told me they don’t…Rony Sumaar · 1/5
