What it is
The surrounding Andheri East district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.
Where it sits
hotel Metropole Inn is in Andheri East, at Andheri Kurla Rd, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 3 km from Terminal 2, 20 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 6 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.
Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 11 minutes to the airport, 69 minutes to Fort and 20 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

Staying in Andheri East
Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.
More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

A helpful & a courteous staff, friendlier reception, mouthwatering delicacies to enjoy, and spacious accommodation to vouch for! Would have been nicer had the noice from the traffic outside, could have been filtered/ cancelled with sound proofing, for a better sleep.Hansika Godage · 5/5

Smooth check in experience. Excellent staff - polite and service minded. Room service was quick. Room service closes by 10:30 p.m. but we returned to our rooms only by 10:40 p.m. without having a proper dinner. They were good enough to accept our request for some simple dishes. House keeping was also prompt in…SRIRAM R · 4/5
