What it is

The surrounding Andheri East district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.

Because pricing is set live by the hotel and its suppliers, the figure shown here is a recent snapshot; check the current rate for your exact dates before booking.

Where it sits

Fabexpress Alive is in Andheri East, at 1St Floor Nasar Bldg Juhu Lane Oppo, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 4 km from Terminal 2, 20 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 6 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 14 minutes to the airport, 69 minutes to Fort and 23 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

What is included

The property lists 6 facilities. The ones that decide a booking are grouped below; anything unusual — early check-in, a late departure, a desk that takes a laptop — is worth confirming when you book, because listings and reality drift.

Staying in Andheri East

Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.

More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.

What it costs

We do not hold a live rate for Fabexpress Alive at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

However, upon arrival, I found that: The actual room size was extremely small and did not match the images shown online. The bed and furniture were different from…

Very unsafe we faced some random members are trying to open the doors three times at mid night & even the room size is small as well as they didn't give me the timeline for breakfast. So when I asked for the breakfast they denied stating its 10'o clock. What kind of practice is this. Such a unrecommended hotel ..very…
