What it is

The surrounding Andheri East district is one of the most convenient parts of Mumbai to stay in, with restaurants, cafés and transport links close by.

Rates shift with the season and with demand, so the live price on the booking page is always the one to trust — tap through for tonight's or your dates' real availability.

Where it sits

Edition O 30017 Sher E Punjab Imperial is in Andheri East, at 3012 Sher E Punjab Colony Andheri East, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 5 km from Terminal 2, 21 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 7 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 16 minutes to the airport, 76 minutes to Fort and 25 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

What is included

The property lists 4 facilities. The ones that decide a booking are grouped below; anything unusual — early check-in, a late departure, a desk that takes a laptop — is worth confirming when you book, because listings and reality drift.

Staying in Andheri East

Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.

More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.

What it costs

Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

What guests say

3.5/5 from 259 reviews · collected through the booking feed, shown as written.

Good hotel in low budget. Food is not so good. Rooms are okay. Location wise it's not recommended because it's in the interior and nearest highway is atleast 10-15 minutes. Staff is really good. They allow unmarried couples so there is a plus point for young couples. Cleanliness is great. Bathrooms and rooms are neat…

The location is okay. Also to people who might wander that is this hotel inside some residential flat or something, so to them i just want to say, NO, it isn't a residential flat. The whole building belongs to the hotel. Also the food is nice, the rooms are quite decent. Overall, a good place.

Oyo Hotel Imperial Residency... When I saw from outside, I had a feeling that it would be fine and dirty probably. It's outer facade looks like some old building turned into apartment hotel which would be just fine. But when i visited inside and saw the rooms, I was so happy to see something so good. Bed was clean…
