What it is

From here, Mumbai's main attractions — including Mahakali Caves, Andheri — are an easy walk or short ride away, so you spend less time in transit and more time exploring.

Because pricing is set live by the hotel and its suppliers, the figure shown here is a recent snapshot; check the current rate for your exact dates before booking.

Where it sits

Bombay Rooms is in Andheri East, at 1 B Opp Crisil House Andheri Kurla Road 400093 Western Suburbs Mumbai India, Mumbai. Straight-line, that is about 3 km from Terminal 2, 20 km from CSMT and the Fort offices, and 5 km from the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Road times in Mumbai are not a function of distance. Modelled at the city-wide average of about 17 km/h, that is roughly 10 minutes to the airport, 69 minutes to Fort and 19 minutes to BKC — add half again in the evening peak, and take the train instead wherever the route allows. These are modelled figures, not measured ones.

What is included

The property lists 6 facilities. The ones that decide a booking are grouped below; anything unusual — early check-in, a late departure, a desk that takes a laptop — is worth confirming when you book, because listings and reality drift.

Staying in Andheri East

Sahar Airport Road, running between the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2, is the premium strip — the Leela, JW Marriott Sahar, Hilton and Novotel, at ₹12,000 to ₹22,000 with proper conference floors, free terminal shuttles and IGBC-standard newer builds if that matters to your travel policy. Chakala and JB Nagar hold the mid-market: Courtyard, ibis, Holiday Inn and a dozen local four-stars at ₹5,500 to ₹9,000, all within eight minutes' walk of a Line 1 metro station. MIDC Central Road and Marol suit anyone with meetings in SEEPZ, at similar rates. Avoid Sakinaka and the far end of Andheri-Kurla Road unless your office is on it: the hotels are cheap at ₹3,500 and the evening journey out of there will cost you the saving in taxi time. Always check the hotel is walking distance from a metro station — in this suburb it is worth more than a pool.

More on the neighbourhood, including how to move around it and what is worth walking to, is on the Andheri East page.

What it costs

We do not hold a live rate for Bombay Rooms at the moment; hotels in Andheri East on our list start at about ₹9,200 a night. Check the live price before you plan around a number — Mumbai rates move with the trade-fair and wedding calendars, and a room can double in the week of a large event.

November to February is the expensive season and the comfortable one. June to September — the monsoon — is the cheapest, and the rain is less of an obstacle than people expect if you plan around the mornings.

Bunk bed system, humid and smelly place. Mosquitos and rats are everywhere. No safety for luggage. Most of the things are not operational. It looks good from outside but believe me it's worst when you stay there. Bathrooms are small and doesn't have any hot water supply. No geezers. Flushes are not functioning in…
