Alibaug town itself is cheap, ₹2,000 to ₹3,500, but you are in a market town with a beach five minutes away and mosquitoes. Avoid anything advertising itself as a beachfront resort on Alibaug main beach — the sand there is grey silt, the water shallow and murky, and the beach doubles as a road for horse carts. Also avoid the roadside places on the Alibaug–Revdanda stretch during weekends: tour groups, loudspeakers, no quiet.
